A TikTok video featuring the luxury handbags of several crazy rich Asians in Singapore has gone viral.
The 31-second video, which was posted by Gestreon (@thegestreon.com), an e-commerce platform for secondhand luxury items, shows bags spotted at Orchard Road, an upscale shopping area in Singapore.
Some of the bags included in the short clip, along with Gestreon’s estimated prices for them, include an Hermès Kelly worth 28,000 Singaporean dollars (approximately $21,100), an Hermès Birkin worth 22,000 Singaporean dollars (approximately $16,600) and an Hermès Lindy worth 12,000 Singaporean dollars (approximately $9,000).
The video also features a Chanel Classic worth 10,200 Singaporean dollars (approximately $7,700), a Chanel GST worth 5,500 Singaporean dollars (approximately $4,150), a Chanel Mademoiselle worth 4,000 Singaporean dollars (approximately $3,000) and a Dior Diorama worth 3,000 Singaporean dollars (approximately $2,300), among others.
One of the designer bags — a Chanel Boy worth 6,600 Singaporean dollars (approximately $5,000) — was notably shown unattended on a table at a café.
Several TikTok users have commented on Gestreon’s now-viral post, which has amassed over 416,000 views and 29,000 likes.
“The rest of us won’t even pay 10 cents for a plastic bag,” one TikTok user joked.
“I don’t understand spending beyond $50 for a bag. just bring plastic bag,” another user wrote.
“Why anyone would buy a $28,000 bag is beyond me,” another user said.
Gestreon has posted other videos on TikTok that feature handbags spotted in other places, such as Tokyo, London and Hong Kong.
