These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of NextShark’s app, website, and related services (the “Platform”), operated by NextShark, Inc., located at 4590 MacArthur Blvd, Newport Beach, California 92660.

1. Use of the Platform
NextShark provides a social platform designed for community interaction, including campus-based networks.
You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for:

3. Campus and Community Access
Certain features of the Platform are restricted based on school or community affiliation.
By registering with a school-affiliated email (e.g., .edu), you agree that:
- You may be assigned to a campus community
- Access to features may be restricted based on that affiliation
We reserve the right to verify, modify, or revoke access at any time.
4. User Content
The Platform allows you to post content, including:
- Posts
- Comments
- Messages
- Media and other submissions (“User Content”)
Ownership
You retain ownership of your User Content.
License to NextShark
By posting content, you grant NextShark a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- Use
- Display
- Reproduce
- Modify
- Distribute
your content for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Harass, threaten, or abuse others
- Post defamatory, obscene, or illegal content
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or exploit the Platform
- Collect user data without consent
- Use the Platform for spam, scams, or unauthorized commercial activity
6. Moderation and Enforcement
We may, at our sole discretion:

- Suspend or terminate accounts
We may take action:

We are not obligated to monitor all content but reserve the right to do so.

12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
NextShark is not liable for:
- User content
- User interactions
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business
Your sole remedy is to stop using the Platform.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless NextShark and its team from any claims arising from:
- Your use of the Platform
- Your content
- Your violation of these Terms
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in California.
15. Changes to Terms

Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Copyright and DMCA Policy
NextShark respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same.
If you believe that content on the Platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a notification under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”).
A. Filing a DMCA Notice
To submit a claim, please provide:

C. Repeat Infringer Policy
We may terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe intellectual property rights.
D. Platform Rights
We reserve the right to remove content alleged to be infringing at our discretion.
