With the weather getting cooler and holiday season approaching, it’s important we use
Updated vaccines provide protection against both the original COVID virus and Omicron.
Everyone is now eligible for the updated vaccine after at least two months after getting their primary series. The updated Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are available to anyone regardless of which vaccine series they previously received. Adults who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine are recommended to get the updated Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.
Updated vaccines are safe and can help protect against severe COVID illnesses, hospitalizations, and even death as we face a possible winter surge in cases. As with all vaccinations, side effects may be possible, like a sore arm or headache, but these normal responses to the vaccine typically last a few days.
Give your loved ones peace of mind and protection as you travel and gather with family and friends this holiday season. Talk to your doctor or health care provider about any questions you might have about the updated vaccine or visit cdc.gov/coronavirus. It’s free, it’s safe, and it’s a great way to help you enjoy life this winter season.
You can get your updated vaccine now. To find updated vaccines near you, visit vaccines.gov. You can also text your ZIP code to 438829 (GETVAX) or call 1-800-232-0233.
