Immortal Studios announces new title, fan collaboration to close out AAPIHM

As we wrap up AAPI Heritage Month, Immortal Studios, the multi-platform entertainment studio building the world’s first and only AAPI-led Wuxia storyverse, has unveiled news of a new comic title as well as an opportunity for fans to get in on the comic-creating action.

The new comic, which is being kept under wraps under the name “Project Immortal,” will tell the story of a group of teens who band together to defend their families and communities from viral hate attacks. As with all their comics, the stories will naturally connect with the Immortal cannon.

Immortal Studios also revealed a new initiative called Immortal Order which will invite fans and community partners to participate in the story development of a new comic from start to finish with the Immortal creative team.

Immortal Founder and CEO Peter “Payhuan” Shiao says of the new project:

“Today we are proud to shine a light on AAPI Youth. Project Immortal is not only Immortal’s first ‘team of heroes,’ it is telling the stories of diverse AAPI teenagers that are largely absent in global popular culture. The emotional and mental challenges on our youth today in a pervasive culture of meaninglessness, intense pressure and pessimism takes center stage in this new chapter of the Immortal Storyverse. We are so excited to partner with the public, and our special youth council, to deliver a new story that brings hope, authenticity, positivity, empowerment, and consciousness to the next generation.”
