Artist Phil Yoon Reflects on ‘Undeniable Journey’ in the All-Electric Cadillac LYRIQ

Phil Yoon, a renowned artist and photographer, has always been drawn to the Los Angeles skyline. The angles, shapes, and silhouettes of the city’s architecture closely mirroring his journey of living boldly without compromise.

Once free to pursue his art, Phil was able to realize his own strengths. “I’ve never been concerned with the expectations of others,” he muses. “Whether it was pursuing the arts or playing baseball — at a time when not very many people looked like me — I realized that being an outsider was actually my superpower.”

Powered with an *EPA-estimated 314-mile range on Rear Wheel Drive, Phil parks at a public charging station to charge the all-electric LYRIQ with ease while he captures photos of nearby architecture. “The silhouettes and lines stand tall,” he shares, “their presence never succumbing to the colorful chaos of the city.”

With the Advanced 33” diagonal LED display technology, Phil can personalize his driving experience. He adjusts the ambient light spectrum within LYRIQs interior to reflect his soothing mood. “My unique lens and desire to be seen for who I am inspires me to be better than the day before,” he says.

As we reach dusk, Phil approaches the LYRIQ to head home. “My success is defined by framing my own shots and sitting firmly in the driver’s seat,” he shares, exterior lighting choreography welcomes him, reflective of the natural rhythms of Phil’s soulful flow. “That’s true luxury.”
