Netflix dropped the official trailer for its upcoming Korean survival reality show “Zombieverse” on Tuesday.
About the series: “Zombieverse” follows 10 contestants who compete against each other in different challenges. They must survive by finding food, shelter and other basic needs while also trying not to get “bitten” by zombies to remain in the competition.
“In Seoul, where a zombie virus outbreak has run amok, who will outwit the undead in the face of challenging quests and come out alive?” the series’ Netflix description says.
Key people: The show was created by Park Jin-kyung and Moon Sang-don. Its contestants include “Sweet Home” actor Lee Si-young, South Korean comedian Park Na-rae, “Singles Inferno” star Kim Jin-young and “Talents for Sale” co-host Ro Hong-chul.
Extra details: “Zombieverse,” which was first announced earlier this year, reportedly employed the help of the art team behind Netflix’s coming-of-age zombie apocalypse series “All of Us Are Dead,” as well as choreographers of Netflix’s Korean horror series “Kingdom.”
Release date: “Zombieverse” will premiere on Netflix on Aug. 8.
