South Korean beauty show “Get It Beauty” will receive a U.S. remake as a result of a partnership between Scott Sternberg Productions and CJ ENM.
“Get It Beauty” has aired for 18 seasons since 2006 in South Korea, with a revolving door of hosts and beauty icons across each season. The show brings on make-up artists, fashion gurus, physical trainers and stylists to showcase their skills for a live studio audience. During its run, the show has helped catapult guest beauty specialists and beauty brands to soaring heights.
The 2021 season of “Get It Beauty” saw K-pop superstar Sunmi host alongside Oh My Girl member Choi Hyo-jung. Past seasons had hosts like Joy from Red Velvet, K-drama actor Oh Yeon-seo and Korean American model Irene Kim.
Scott Sternberg, whose credits include “On the Case” with Paula Zahn and “iCrime” with Elizabeth Vargas, praised the show’s “unique format, huge audience and unprecedented longevity,” adding that the show’s potential value in the U.S. was supported by its production value and talent participation.
“A lifestyle show like this ticks a lot of boxes, as we see more and more celebrities align themselves with beauty brands,” he said. “‘Get It Beauty’ is inspirational, aspirational, transactional, and interactive.”
Seo Jang-ho, SVP of CJ ENM Content Business, added:

“Get It Beauty” is more than just a TV show. It is CJ ENM’s iconic lifestyle program that has led the K-beauty trend and brought about synergy with numerous brands. Coupled with Scott’s insight about the U.S. market, Korea’s beauty infrastructure and CJ ENM’s production experience, we expect the show to take place as a beauty trend leader in the United States.

Entertainment giant CJ ENM is the owner Fifth Season, the studio responsible for director Bong Joon-ho’s award-winning film “Parasite.”
A streaming platform or U.S. broadcaster for the American remake has not been announced.
