BTS’ label Big Hit Music recently announced that group member Suga has officially started his military enlistment process.
About the announcement: In a Weverse post on Monday, the South Korean music label updated BTS fans with the news, writing, “We would like to inform our fans that SUGA has initiated the military enlistment process by applying for the termination of his enlistment postponement. We will inform you of further updates in due course.”
“We ask you for your continued love and support for SUGA until he completes his military service and safely returns,” Big Hit Music continued. “Our company will spare no effort in providing support for our artist. Thank you.”
Not the first: Suga, 30, will be the third BTS member to enlist. BTS’ oldest member Jin, also 30, enlisted in December 2022, and J-Hope, 29, enlisted back in April.
In October 2022, Big Hit Music shared that all of the BTS members will fulfill their mandatory military conscriptions when the time comes. The K-pop act is expected to reconvene “around 2025.”
Suga has yet to address his military enlistment on his social media platforms.
