Amazon Prime Video is now the exclusive home to ONE Championship, Asia’s largest global sports property, in the U.S. and Canada.
ONE also features its own MMA rule set known for pushing the action — fights are scored cumulatively instead of round-by-round and there are lighter weight classes like men’s strawweight and women’s atomweight, whose World Champion Angela Lee counts among ONE’s biggest stars.

Since its founding in 2011 by Thai-Japanese entrepreneur and martial artist Chatri Sityodtong and former ESPN executive Victor Cui, ONE has been dedicated to showcasing the beauty and values of martial arts above all else.
“I think the authenticity of martial arts is what makes ONE different from anything like it in America. In the U.S., MMA is a recent sport. Martial arts has a 5,000-year history in Asia,” Chatri told NextShark.
“UFC is the largest MMA organization; we’re the largest martial arts organization. We feature multiple disciplines of martial arts. No other global organization in the world has the number of world titles on its athlete roster.”
ONE’s authenticity to martial arts has since attracted some of the greatest fighters from UFC including Demetrious Johnson, Sage Northcutt, and John Lineker — and a little dig from the ONE CEO:
“ONE is about celebrating martial arts. There’s a real sense of values – of celebrating integrity, humility, honor, respect, courage and compassion. The UFC espouses controversy, bloodsport and trash talking, and it crosses many lines like religious insults and things like that. UFC and ONE are 180-degree opposite from each other,” says Chatri.
With ONE now on Prime Video, an enthusiastic Chatri believes Amazon is setting up to be the biggest sports property in the world:
“Amazon Prime has 200 million subscribers, with [a reported] 150 million in the U.S. — people don’t realize their viewership numbers are already as big as Fox Sports’ viewership numbers in the U.S. for American football. I believe Amazon is truly going to be the biggest broadcaster of sports in America, and also in the world, in the coming years.”
