According to Thai media Sanook (via Coconuts), the angry customer demanded Kham Loongtah, the 26-year-old food stall vendor, to give her a bigger portion of the noodle soup Khanom Chin Nam Ngiao, a rice noodle dipped in spicy pork soup. The unidentified woman, furious about the small plastic bag she received, can be seen pausing for a second before forcefully throwing the bag at Kham, which burst violently upon impact.
The customer was seen standing by the food stall still angry and pointing her finger at Kham who tried to wipe off the piping hot soup from her body.
It was unclear how severe her burns are, but judging by the pictures released by Thai media, it looks pretty horrific.

After the incident, the boyfriend of the customer went to the food stall to apologize for what happened and offered to take Kham to the hospital and cover her bills. However, the food vendor refused the offer as she was scared by the couple.
She visited the hospital on her own and received a bill of 10,000 Thai Baht ($302), which the couple insisted to pay off.
Kham said she does not hold a grudge against the two, but she hopes the woman takes full responsibility for her actions. She reportedly filed a police report against the attacker.
The woman has been working for the food stall for four years now. Kham makes around 700 Thai Baht ($21) per day for working double shifts, which starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 2 a.m. Following the incident, she had to take a few days off from work to recover from her burns.
