Supreme Now Makes The Most Random Items That International Students Will Definitely Stock Up On
By Carl Samson
Supreme took the wraps off its SS19 collection this week, and as has become tradition, the accessories section is a thirst trap of bizarre products for discriminating collectors.
Last season, the New York skate brand treated its rabid fanbase to a Santa Cruz Chameleon 27.5-inch bike, male and female anatomy models, inflatable chairs, a Virgin Mary blanket and “F**k You” trays, to name a few.
Just when you thought things could not get any weirder, the new season brings arguably Supreme’s wildest accessory to date: a Pearl Session Studio Select drum set and Zildjian cymbals.
The five-drum Pearl set comes with a 22-by-18-inch bass, 10-by-7- and 12-by-8-inch Toms, a 16-by-16-inch Floor Tom and a 14-by-5.5-inch snare with six-ply, 5.4-millimeter birch/African mahogany shells.
Supreme launched nearly 25 years ago in April 1994, and in recent years, the company has achieved a cult-following in Asia.
The brand is especially popular among millennials in China, where the lack of both physical and online stores has fans turning to resellers — and some others to fakes.
Below are other eye-catching accessories in SS19:
Supreme opens its SS19 collection in-stores on Feb. 21. An online release follows on Feb. 25. You can see the full preview here.
