A burger chain has jumped on the mint chocolate craze in South Korea by launching a mint chocolate burger.
Biotech food company Himnanda, which operates Himnanda Burger, first announced the unique menu item on Oct. 12 in an Instagram post.
In the post’s caption, the food company mentions the “mint chocolate controversy.”
“Mint chocolate tastes like toothpaste?! Mint chocolate doesn’t taste good?!” … [this burger] makes history to settle the controversy,” Himnanda wrote in part.
The new burger, which is available in Himnanda Burger stores across South Korea, features a beef patty, cheese, onions, mint chocolate sauce and pieces of mint Oreo cookies.
It reportedly costs 10,800 South Korean won (approximately $7.60) as part of a combo meal and is a collaboration with South Korean content creator Yori Yongd, who is known for his popular cooking channel.
In other burger-related news, Burger King Japan launched a new lineup of peanut butter burgers inspired by the hit manga and anime series “Spy × Family.”
