Three men have been arrested in connection with a violent robbery outside an Asian supermarket in South Sacramento earlier this year.
What happened: The incident, which was caught on surveillance video, occurred in the parking lot of S.F. Asian Supermarket near Stockton Boulevard and 65th Street at around 4:13 p.m. on March 28, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. The victim had just finished shopping and was returning to her car when two suspects emerged from a vehicle, physically assaulted her, stole her purse and fled the scene.
The aftermath: The victim suffered major injuries to her spinal cord. She was hospitalized following the incident.

Arrests: After months of investigation, three Sacramento men — identified as Michael Lambert, Kyle McBride and Nigel Patterson — were apprehended in connection with the robbery on Wednesday. Lambert, however, has bonded out as of Thursday, but McBride and Patterson remain in custody.
Detective Sou Saephan, who cracked the case, told KCRA 3 that the victim was “definitely in shock” and “traumatized” after the incident.
“If they victimize people out here in the Sacramento community, we will come for you,” he said. “We will find you. Justice will be served.”
