Porsche has unveiled special editions of the 911 Carrera GTS inspired by a vibrant Thai tradition.
While Western cultures mainly celebrate birth dates, Thai birthdays emphasize the day of the week a person is born. Rooted in Hindu astrology, this tradition assigns different planets guarded by different colored deities to the days of the week.
As a result, each day of the week is associated with the color of the deity guarding its corresponding planet. For example, if someone was born on a Monday, their birthday color would be yellow because Mondays are represented by the Moon, which is guarded by a yellow-colored deity named Chandra.

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Porsche Thailand collaborated with Exclusive Manufaktr — an in-house department specializing in crafting customized sports cars — to create 30th Anniversary Porsche Thailand Editions of the 911 Carrera GTS model.
These bespoke limited-edition versions come in Signal Yellow (Monday), Ruby Star (Tuesday), Signal Green (Wednesday), Pastel Orange (Thursday), Riviera Blue (Friday), Ultraviolet (Saturday) and Fire Red (Sunday) to pay homage to each of the seven colors associated with the days of the week.

“With this Porsche 911 Carrera GTS 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition, we pay tribute to this amazing country that has been so welcoming to our brand, and that keeps inspiring us with its vibrant culture and people that are truly driven by their dreams,” Hannes Ruoff, CEO of Porsche Asia Pacific, said in a press release
Porsche Thailand has also created the “Inspiration Car,” a one-of-one 911 Carrera GTS that features all seven colors of the 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition. The Inspiration Car is currently on display at the 44th annual Bangkok Auto Show until April 2.
