First look: Donald Glover, Maya Erskine are ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’ in upcoming Prime series

Prime Video recently released a first look at its upcoming series “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” starring Donald Glover and Maya Erskine.
About the show: The upcoming spy comedy TV series was created by Glover and Francesca Sloane. It is based on the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie-led film released in 2005 of the same name.
Exact plot details are still unknown, but the show will reportedly follow the characters John Smith and Jane Smith as they navigate their marriage while working as spies.
Glover, also known by his stage name Childish Gambino, will play John Smith. Meanwhile, “PEN15” star Maya Erskine will play Jane Smith.
About the first look: A teaser of the upcoming series, which was first announced in February 2021, was revealed as part of this year’s Prime Video Exclusive Sneak Peek on Thursday.
Glover, Sloane, Yariv Milchan, Arnon Milchan, Michael Schaefer, Anthony Katagas, Hiro Murai, Nate Matteson, Stephen Glover and Jenny Robins serve as executive producers.
Release date: “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” will be released sometime later this year. An official release date has yet to be announced.
