Mercedes Driver Throws Epic Tantrum After Traffic Police Stop Him in China
By Carl Samson
A new footage of a Chinese man resisting arrest and hurling expletives at police officers has been picking up steam in social media this week.
The incident happened last Wednesday in Weifang, Shandong province, Guancha reported.
While driving his car, a Mercedes SUV, the man was stopped by cops when they noticed that his license plate was blurred. It appeared to be intended to prevent identification by surveillance cameras.
As seen in the video, the man resisted arrest, and in the process, violently flailed his arms, kicked aimlessly and spewed profanities at the police officers.
The man even cursed the officers’ parents. He was quoted as saying (via South China Morning Post):
“What have you got to arrest me? I have paid more than one million yuan in taxes!”
He later defended himself claiming that he thought the officers were thugs in disguise. But of course, that’s no excuse for his blurred license plate and blatantly abusive behavior.
As a result, he was fined 2,000 yuan ($290) and detained for 20 days.
