A Singaporean couple received a surprise gift after inviting McDonald’s Singapore to their wedding.
On Sunday, a TikTok user named Agnes posted a video about the special present she and her fiancé Darlyn received from the fast food chain: a McNuggets bouquet.
“Sent @McDonald’s our wedding invitation card and looked what they surprised us with!!” Agnes wrote in the caption of her TikTok post.
The bride-to-be’s 10-second video shows her holding the delicious bouquet, which came complete with different kinds of sauces, including barbecue and curry.
McDonald’s Singapore also sent a note to the couple, which read in part:
Congratulations on your wedding! Wishing the both of you a blissful marriage. Thank you for the lovely wedding invitation as well. We’re so touched that you would think of us for your special day. Here’s a gift to thank you for all your love and support, from one phase of life to the next. Enjoy!
On Sunday, Agnes also posted about the McNuggets bouquet on Instagram, explaining why McDonald’s is so special to her and her partner.
“Just 2 weeks before our wedding, @wrathar_ [Darlyn] and I decided to send our physical wedding invitation cards to places that means a lot to us,” she wrote in her post’s caption. “We thought it will be fun and also for the memories! McDonald’s is often our to-go place for breakfast/lunch/dinner/suppers so we definitely had to send them one!”
She also explained that Team McDonald’s Singapore reached out to her but did not mention the bouquet: “Of course, we weren’t expecting to have any response but boy were we surprised when we received a message from McDonald’s Team … not only they sent a congratulatory message, they also surprised us with a gift from McDonald’s…. McDonald’s will forever be our Happy Place.”
Several social media users commented on Agnes’ TikTok video, which now has over 208,000 views and 14,000 likes.
“Awesome job @McDonald’s you’re special,” one TikTok user wrote.
“Eeeeh this is cool but now people are gonna send wedding invite to all the fastfood restaurants,” another user commented.
“I’m gonna get married again just to send this to everywhere,” another joked.
