King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla of England recently celebrated the contributions of East and Southeast Asian communities to the United Kingdom by holding a reception at Buckingham Palace.

During the event, workers at the King’s official London residence served champagne and canapes to guests from various different fields, such as the Armed Forces, the arts, business, healthcare and others.

Among the notable guests were fashion designers Alexa Chung and John Rocha, as well as Tengku Amir Shah, the crown prince of Selangor.
Other members of the royal family were present, including the Princess Royal, the Earl of Wessex, the Duke of Kent, the Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Alexandra.

The king and queen consort marked the festival last year by visiting Chinatown in London when they were the Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall. 
As part of the trip, the king joined a discussion on anti-Asian hate crimes. The queen consort met police officers, immigration caseworkers and clients at the Chinese Information and Advice Centre.
