35-Year-Old Japanese Man Marries Virtual Pop Star Because He Distrusts Women

A 35-year-old Japanese man tied the knot with Vocaloid pop star
The groom, Akihiko Kondo, marched into the ceremony in an all-white suit, while his tiny bride turned heads with an elegant wedding dress.
At the time, female superiors bullied Kondo at work, leading to a suspension.
The incident made it difficult for Kondo to get along with women and he eventually wound up distrusting them.
He then found solace in Hatsune, who “healed” him during the problematic decade.
So on November 4, Kondo married Hatsune.
Thirty-nine people were invited to the lavish ceremony, including a Parliament member.
As seen in photos, Kondo and Hatsune “exchanged” rings and vows, even signing a marriage certificate — though it is still unclear if the document is legally binding or recognized by Japan.
However, one Japanese company started recognizing such weddings since 2017, offering benefits to employees with two-dimensional spouses.
“Today, I held a wedding ceremony with Miku,” Kondo announced on Twitter. “We invited 39 people and held the ceremony seriously. Many blessings through words, messages of support and cooperation were realized.”
“We would like to express our deepest gratitude to those who supported us.”
The event has since gone viral on Japanese Twitter, with many congratulating the newlyweds.
“Congratulations on your wedding! You’ve inspired me to believe in love.”
“I think that there has been a lot of prejudice here, but some of you understand that his love to Miku is genuine. There may be a lot of difficulties in the future, but do not let go of your hand at all times and be happy. Congratulations.”
“Congratulations on your marriage with Miku! I saw photos from the wedding hall and reception from other tweets. It seems very happy. It was blessed and it was a wonderful wedding ceremony. Although the media mentioned various things, do not mind them at all. I hope you and Miku will be happy for a long time.”
“Congratulations on your wedding. You deserve happiness.”
“I hope you stay happy forever with Miku.”
Some expressed their support in fan art:
Good luck to the happy couple!
