Bruce Lee is a legendary action hero and a beloved icon to many people, however, there are some who may disagree.
This discussion was created by a recent portrayal of Lee in a Tarantino film that painted him as a cocky personality that couldn’t even stand his own against a middle-aged stunt man.
The debates can linger on for those observing his character from afar but for those who have seen him up close, Lee’s authenticity behind the cameras has long been settled.
One very vocal fan that continues to praise the martial artist is another martial arts action hero, Jackie Chan. Chan worked with Lee on the classic “Enter the Dragon” nearly 50 years ago and the 65-year-old star can still vividly recall how it felt as a young unknown actor sharing screen time with Lee.

The former stuntman was cast as one of the “thugs” that was easily defeated by Lee’s character.
A funny clip was recently shared by Lee’s family showing Chan sharing an anecdote of that time Lee accidentally hit him during a fight in the movie.
“I was behind the camera and I would just see Bruce Lee,” Chan recalled. “Then I ran and suddenly it was all black in front of my eyes. He had hit just one stick right on my head. I felt dizzy and I looked at Bruce Lee — he kept acting until the director said cut.”
“He then threw his stick, turned around and said, ‘Oh my God’ and ran to me and lifted me up and said sorry. I was not in pain anymore. I was a young guy and very tough. But I pretended to be in pain so that Bruce Lee holds me for as long as he can. I kept pretending the whole day.”
