Japanese girl group ATARASHII GAKKO! have announced their inaugural North American headline tour.
About the tour: The “SEISHUN Tour” commences on Nov. 7 at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. They will then venture to other major cities, such as San Francisco, New York, Toronto and Chicago before concluding the North American leg at Mexico City’s Corona Capital festival.
On Dec. 2 and 3, the group will perform in Hong Kong and Bangkok, Thailand.
“Youthful energy”: ATARASHII GAKKO!’s tour title comes from the group’s ethos. In an interview with NextShark back in March, the J-pop act described Seishun as “youthful energy” and enthusiasm.

“It is important because it’s in all of us. Seishun is not just that youthful side, it’s a state of mind when you strive to live life to the fullest. Do whatever you love with conviction. When you absorb everything life gives you like a sponge.”

Background: Initially formed in 2015 with members Mizyu, Suzuka, Rin and Kanon, ATARASHII GAKKO! debuted in 2017. Since then, their 2020 track “OTONABLUE” has become the group’s most viral hit, garnering 3.1 billion TikTok views and over 39 million YouTube video views. In 2021, they released the song “NAINAINAI” under label 88rising.
Recent activities: The quartet recently performed at 88rising’s Head in the Clouds music festivals in New York and Los Angeles.
