“Last Christmas,” a new holiday-themed romantic comedy that stars “Crazy Rich Asians” actor Henry Golding and “Game of Thrones” actress Emilia Clarke, looks like something we’re going to fa-la-la-la-love.
“Last Christmas,” directed by Paul Feig, follows the story Kate (Emilia Clark), whose life is an absolute mess and works as a Scroogey elf at a Christmas shop. But all of that changes when she accidentally meets Tom (Henry Golding) and a pigeon, unfortunately, poops on her face.
Their paths cross again when Kate accidentally — and literally — bumps into Tom. The two grow closer and Kate opens up about how she was ill. Tom who seems always willing to help and even volunteers at a homeless shelter, starts to rub off on Kate.
Fans took to Twitter to voice their speculations that there is an unexpected twist to this rom-com.
“Last Christmas,” which is set to hit theaters on November 8, features the music of George Michael.
The film also stars Michelle Yeoh, who Golding shared the screen with in Jon M. Chu’s “Crazy Rich Asians
