A month after “Crazy Rich Asians” hits international theaters in August this year, Henry Golding is set to return to the big screen via a mystery thriller film directed by Paul Feig.
The British–Malaysian actor, who will be making his film debut in the highly anticipated All-Asian romantic comedy, is also starring in “A Simple Favor” alongside Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively.
Based on Darcey Bell’s novel of the same name, the film follows a small-town mom/blogger (Kendrick) who tries to solve the disappearance of her mysterious and rich best friend (Lively).
Golding plays the role of Sean Nelson, the husband of Lively’s character, Emily.
The film, which has a North American release date of September 14, posted its second teaser trailer on Thursday on Lionsgate’s official YouTube page.
So far, 2018 is shaping up to be a good year for Golding’s film career with another movie in the works called “Monsoon” slated for release later this year.
Golding, who is a trained hairstylist, model, and actor who grew up in England, is currently based in Malaysia and Singapore.
