A visit to the Philippines: On Wednesday, the eight-time NBA All-Star player shared a photo of himself on Instagram holding the Philippine flag. He wrote in the caption, “Superman is coming to the Philippines.”
“I can’t wait to play for StrongHold and represent for all my Pinoy people,” he noted. “I already booked my flight and can’t wait to meet you guys at the airport on January 6th. Stay tuned for the time for the chance to get your picture with me and autograph and let me know in the comments what things I should do or what places I should visit when I arrive!”
Howard denies sexual assault: Howard’s overseas move comes months after his denial of sexual assault and battery claims allegedly stemming from a July 2021 incident. In response to a civil lawsuit, he acknowledged engaging in “consensual sexual activity” with a man named Stephen Harper but denied causing him any injury during their time at his Georgia home. He also refuted allegations of “intentional infliction of emotional distress” and “false imprisonment.”
The 18-year NBA veteran is reportedly still pursuing an NBA comeback and recently worked out with the Golden State Warriors ahead of the 2023-24 season. Additionally, he is gearing up to launch his sports agency, D12 Global.
