Badass Female Cashier Chases Off Robber Who Threatened Her With a Knife

A convenience store cashier in Nanjing, China is going viral after her courageous act of chasing away a knife-wielding robber.
The woman, identified as Wang, was working behind the register when the failed robbery attempt happened around 4 a.m. on Sunday, according to South China Morning Post.
Instead of caving in and submitting to the robber’s demand, she stood her ground and shouted at the man while he threatened her with the knife.
“I won’t give you any money,” she can be heard saying in the security footage as she notified her workmate to call the police.
“Try to rob [me] if you have the guts,” Wang continued.
As it turns out, her courage intimidated Liu. He picked up his items, which only cost about 10 yuan ($1.50), and immediately made a run for it. However, Wang was determined to catch the man, and chased him outside the store.
A passerby happened to be in the area and joined Wang in her chase. The two eventually captured Liu and managed to detain the suspect until police arrived at the scene to take him into custody.
“As soon as he walked into store I thought there was something odd about him,” Wang said, “He was really shifty eyed.”
Authorities are now investigating the case as Liu remains in custody.
