First, it was the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge; then, it was the bottle-flipping craze; now, celebrities are jumping on the bottle cap challenge.
The viral social media trend challenges participants try to unscrew the top of a bottle with a roundhouse kick without knocking the object over.
As The New York Times noted, the cap is loosened off-camera while another person holds the bottle steady.
It is unclear how the challenge started, but Kazakh Taekwondo champion Farabi Davletchin, who posted a video of himself roundhouse kicking a bottle cap in slow motion.
He nominated Conor McGregor, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Jackie Chan and Jason Statham to accept the challenge.
Even 2020 presidential candidate Andrew Yang joined in on the fun.
But if anyone can take this challenge to the next level, it would be 55-year-old “Ip Man” star Donnie Yen, who executed a roundhouse kick while wearing a blindfold and a Toronto Raptors T-shirt.
