History was made at the Oscars 2020 on Sunday night after four of the most prestigious awards in the entertainment industry, including Best Picture, was won by the cast of “Parasite” and South Korean director Bong Joon-ho.
If there is one person in the world who feels the need to apologize to trophy engravers at the Oscars for giving them more work to do, it would be the legendary director of “Parasite.”
By the end of the night, Joon-ho and the cast walked home with four Oscars for their work in “Parasite,” including Best Director, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Original Screenplay and the distinguished Best Picture award.
After the historic event, Joon-ho was seen in a video by Variety jokingly apologizing to trophy engravers for having “too many” Oscars for them to carve.

“I’m so sorry for the hard work, there’s too many,” the director gleefully said to the engravers, as he stood watching them carve his name into the awards.
The video has created a frenzy on Twitter, with many users showing their support.
Actor and mogul Simu Liu praised the director, tweeting: “Now THIS… THIS IS BIG ASIAN ENERGY.”
