Big Hit Music issued a statement about Jin’s military enlistment on Tuesday via the fan and idol community app Weverse.
The K-pop agency began the statement by thanking fans for supporting the BTS member. They then shared an update and reminded fans to respect Jin’s privacy during his enlistment process.
“Jin will fulfill his required time with the military by enlisting in the army. Please note that we will not be holding any kind of official event on the day of his recruitment.” The statement also emphasized that Jin’s recruitment day “is a time to be observed by military personnel and their families only.”
“In order to prevent any issues that might occur from crowding, we ask fans to please refrain from visiting the site. Instead, we ask you to keep your heartwarming words of support and farewell in your hearts.”
Big Hit Music also told fans not to buy any “unauthorized tours or product packages” using Jin’s intellectual property (IP), warning against fan-managed, commercialized events or tours. “Our company will take necessary action against any attempts at commercial activity making unauthorized use of such IP,” the statement said.

Big Hit Music previously confirmed that they intend for all seven BTS members to serve their pending military enlistments and expect the group to reunite in 2025.
In October, Jin released his solo single, “The Astronaut,” in collaboration with Coldplay. Last week, BTS member RM dropped his solo album “Indigo,” led by the title track “Wild Flower” featuring vocalist youjeen. Around that same time, Disney Plus announced its upcoming documentary series about BTS titled “BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star.
