Asian American Teen Makes $5,000 Selling Slime to Save for College

Kaitlinh Nguyen, who calls herself a “slimer,” has made at least $5,000 by selling homemade slimes on Etsy and her own online shop, Sherbete.
Kaitlinh’s slimes sell between $6 and $12 each, and she wants to invest some of her profit to speed up the process.
“The money from Etsy my parents want me to save for college, but I kind of just want to spend it on a stand mixer to mix my slime so it’s a lot faster,” she told 60 Second Docs.
With just over 300 posts on Instagram, Kaitlinh has managed to attract 537,000 followers and counting!
“A lot of people like my slime. They say it’s different and really out there,” she said. “I don’t know why people are buying it but I guess it’s really addicting to poke and make sounds.”
