Prime Video released a teaser trailer for “The Summer I Turned Pretty” Season 2 on Thursday.
About the show: “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” a coming-of-age TV series created by “To All the Boys” author Jenny Han, follows 16-year-old Korean American protagonist Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung), who finds herself in a love triangle with brothers Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) and Conrad (Christopher Briney).
The series’ second season explores Belly’s relationships with her love interests, family and friends as she spends another summer at Cousins Beach.
“Belly used to count down the days until she could return to Cousins Beach, but with Conrad and Jeremiah fighting over her heart and the return of Susannah’s cancer, she’s not sure summer will ever be the same,” the synopsis of Season 2 states. “When an unexpected visitor threatens the future of Susannah’s beloved house, Belly has to rally the gang to come together — and to decide once and for all where her heart lies.
Key people: The show’s directors include Jesse Peretz, Jeff Chan and Erica Dunton. Peretz, Han, Hope Hartman, Mads Hansen, Nne Ebong, Karen Rosenfelt and Gabrielle Stanton serve as its executive producers, while Marty Scott, Deborah Swisher, Jenny Zhang and Nicole Colombie serve as its producers.
In addition to Tung, Casalegno and Briney, the series’ cast members include Sean Kaufman, David Iacono, Rain Spencer and Elsie Fisher, among others.
