Little Girl Writes Adorable Letter For a Job at Google, Gets the CEO to Respond

Chloe Bridgewater is only seven years old, but she already has her sights set on working for Google in the future.

Her father, Andy Bridgewater, would later share where she got the inspiration on his Linkedin account:

“After seeing images of Google offices with their bean bags, go-karts and slides my 7-year-old daughter decided to write to Google to see if they would give her a job.”

Andy shared with CNBC Chloe’s original letter in full, which she addressed to “google boss”:

In the letter, the young applicant cleverly included some pretty standard application staples.

For her interests, she wrote how she likes swimming and playing (we’re betting on Android) games on her tablet. Chloe then added how she’ll train for her future job by “carrying on being good and learning (more)”. She also said she’ll get her own computer soon.

She then went on to explain her other qualities that would make her a perfect fit for the company:

“My teachers tell my mum and dad that I am very good in class,” she wrote.

Further discussing her qualifications, she wrote that she’s good in spelling (surely a Googler must-have), reading and math.

“I have only ever sent one other and that was to Father Christmas,” she sweetly said in the end.

To Chloe’s and her family’s surprise, no less than Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai himself took the time to write back, offering her some encouragement:

“I think if you keep working hard and following your dreams, you can accomplish everything you set your mind to – from working at Google to swimming in the Olympics. I look forward to receiving your job application when you are finished with school!”
